I keep everything in the basement and have one of those childproof door knob covers which the boys haven't figured out yet. I have a stack of off-condition cards that I pull out while sorting for them but they aren't that interested. Benny used to play 52 pickup with them when he was 1+ but I don't let them go downstairs. Plus all of their old toys are spilling out from under the steps so that's another reason to keep them out. Keep some of the bent cards for a scrapbook or even as a ornament for sentimental value.
