This card is 100 years old and I have a couple other Piedmont cards- common guys- and really appreciate the age and history behind these cards. I used my paypal balance from selling new stuff that I got lucky and pulled and wanted to get something real nice that I can put into my PC.

Nice card. I was at a Woburn Mass card show arouns 1997 and passed on a better version of that card for about $100. Major regrets for not picking that one up :-(

We all have passed on something amazing at one point in our collecting career. I passed (because I was 12 and didn't have the money) in 1987 on a 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle RC that I could of "stole" for $150 at the time......and it starred me in the face at the card shop for weeks until someone snatched it up, or the dealer kept it. I never asked.

great color...i personally would wait until i could afford one without creases though....I don't mind rounded edges, and you can usually find a nice one for around $900 or so. I would either wait until i could afford that, or for the money you spent on that, you can get a crease free jackie robinson, mantle, mays, musial, ted williams, christy matthewson or one of several others. If you don't think you will ever pay more than $500 for a cobb, you probably did ok though.

Very nice. Really like the color. It's interesting that Cobb doesn't have a split grip in the portrait.
