Let me just say those of you who don't know sealed video game collecting is a very expensive hobby. I've spent thousands acquiring some of these pieces as some of these only show up once every few years. I've got 37% of the US released Super Mario games! Also for those of you who don't know there is a company that authenticates and grades your games! Video Game Authority or vggrader.com

Hey guys! I've only acquired Mario games that include his name in the title :) I will be adding to this as I get more Mario games in the future! All games are factory sealed!

Re: My factory sealed Video Game Collection Mario-Mania!!

I sold a sealed Zelda a while back (w/ H wrapper back). Pretty nice sale. It wasn't graded and probably wouldn't have been above an 80. Still did very well for a 6.00 purchase.

I'd love to find a super mario brothers sealed. $$$$

Which system was the Zelda for? What did you sell it for if I my ask?

Ohe yea SMB 1 is a pretty expensive game. There are different versions of the game that change the price drastically. There is one that you see on eBay all the time that is the white label version becauase at the bottom right the label from Nintendo is white. This sales up around $250-$500. There is also a black seal version which is one of the most rare. Sales in the upwards of $1200. There is also a super rare first release that is not sealed with the at all. It has just a tiny sticker on top sealing to game. I've seen one and it sold on eBay for $500 but that is because seller didn't realize what he had. Sold within 30 seconds. Also varitations with plastic hang tabs or cardboard hangtabs as well. Sorry for the long read I felt like being informative.

Crazy collection!

I play games but don't collect them; nonetheless, if I had kept some of my rarer games instead of selling them to Gamestop I could have some decent coin. They were all opened but still sell well.

I never knew that sealed games could sell that high though, very nice.

You wouldn't believe how high some sell. A few months back a NES game that was sealed sold around 5K! Also want to point out that 85+ is where the gold level starts at this company. So 85+ and higher is like having a 9.5 or 10 graded card. Pretty crazy 90 is near impossible to get on anything!

It is crazy and even for newer games. I remember i wanted to buy and play Final Fantasy 7 after i had sold it years earlier. I looked up prices and used copies were selling around $150+.

Those NES games bring back memories. :D

Yes the NES brings back great memories! I've got a basically brand new NES so I play it a good bit :D Yea FFVII is expensive, you can get used copies of the original for $60 or less in some auctions. Sealed is a different story. There are two variations of the seal. One is a Y-fold seal and the most rare, last one on auction sold for over $1000. The other is a vertical seal sealing the case instead of Y-folds. This sales around $250-$500. The game has its on vairations as well. On the back of the jewel case some games has floating letter to part of a word. This error commands great prices so think it if this was Y-fold sealed and had the floating letter error. You got $1500 easy :o

Ahh ye Stadium events is one of the rarest NES game out there. The last one I saw sold for over $1000. That is just for the cartridge and not the box or instruction booklet. If you have those well worth $5000 or more. I couldn't imagine what a sealed copy would sale :o

Thanks man! I am glad you enjoyed my post ;) Yea they authenticate and grade factory sealed video games and authenticate and grade brand new but not sealed video games. They are a great company and the games look amazing in the acrylic cases! Mine are all factory sealed as I am a sealed collector :)

Added a few rare DS Mario games in the past month. I will get pics up soon after I decide whether to grade them or not.

out of curiousity, have you seen any of the angry video game nerd's stuff? His collection is 100% ridiculous as well. Plus, he makes me laugh on his reviews
