Good evening, all.

First, an upgrade:

Next, my favorite Jeter rookie. I like the black borders and overall design of this one over his others:

Finally, the cornerstone of my collection. I have wanted this card for a long time. I purchased it for a great price too. From his triple crown season:

Thanks for looking and have a great night. I'm giddy.

While the Posada and the Jeter cards are nice and worthy of a post, the Gehrig is worthy of its own thread.

RE: the Gehrig card...it takes a big man not to be jealous of another collector's card...I am NOT a big man! :-)

Thanks for the compliments. It feels great to be able share something like this with people who understand, unlike my wife and daughter.

Love the Gehrig. I just finished reading "Luckiest Man" a couple weeks ago and have been thinking about picking up a vintage Gehrig card for my collection. If you don't mind my asking, what did it set you back?

Good morning and thanks again for all the nice comments.

I just finished that book as well...loved it. The last two sold for $1112.12 and $1440. I hit the $999.99 BIN on this one. I used bing.com's cashback for an 8% discount plus the $20 in Ebay bucks, so those two things bring down the price to $900 which I think is pretty good considering the above info.

Have a great day, people!
