You are one the good ones, Hive. I'm so sorry buddy. I hope you nail these scumbags.

I forwarded this thread over to two of the LCS owners here in Minneapolis, just in case they would try to move this stuff on our side of the river.

I'm in. I'll add them to my daily eBay searches. Were your cards and jewelery the only thing they touched as if they knew exactly where it was or was everything trashed?

Very good question. If that is the case that specific areas were searched, it is somebody you know, and very well. Have the police dusted for prints? Chances are they could be in the system for jobs/background checks not just for past crimes. Good luck

Ill check ebay as well. I always do a newly listed search. Atleast 4 or 5 times a day.

Sorry to hear about that, I truly hate hearing things like this. I remember a story from my dad where his house was broken into in the Mid-70's I think it was. The only thing they stole that he really cared about was a small collection of old coins from his Grandfather. He filed a police report never expecting to see them again, but low and behold the thief managed to wreck his stolen car about a week later and the coins were still sitting on the passenger seat in the basket he stole them in. Hopefully you will get as lucky =)

Damn Matt, I've been out a few days but I'm really sorry to hear this. Glad the Dog is well and at least some Younts were spared. I'm sure you've contacted the other area shops by now. Other than ebay there certainly aren't many places to go to try to dump cards in Madison. Hopefully this scum pulls a "World's Dumbest" and everything works out

If no one has done so already I say lets get together some Brewers items for Hive. Hive has always been a good guy here and well respected. Anyone who wants to get involved pm me.

I wonder if some dealer will have it at the National. That's what happened to my stolen cards. Luckily, some of the FCBers were able to recover 2 of them for me. I'll keep an eye out.

Check all pawn shops in a 60 mile radius. That would be the easiest place to drop off the loot. It's quick money and they will take anything. The good part for you, pawn shops are forced to give back stolen property.

uh.... no they are not.

Yes they are. Pawn shops cannot sell stolen items, it's called fencing. If a item is found to be stolen it is confiscated by the local police and returned to the rightful owner. This is why pawn shops take a lot of steps in trying to determine if something is stolen before buying or giving a loan. They lose out on any money paid for stolen items as well as the item.

I had the same thing happen to me about 10 years ago. I came home to find my pillow cases off my pillows and my coin/card collection completely gone. They caught the guy and it turned out to be a guy who worked for the cable company who had a week prior installed cable into 3 rooms of my house. One of those rooms was that containing my cards/coins. I'm not sure if you have had someone in your house recently doing installations or repairs. Just a thought....Good luck in catching the thief

Do you not know how to read? They had to give her stuff back. Are you retarded or just always have to go against whatever someone says. They initially told her she had to pay to get it back but by law she doesn't.
