My sons are now playing their first year of tackle football. They are in the 3rd and 4th grades. My youngest is a WR/RB and my oldest is a lineman and long snapper. The kids are getting prepared to play this weekend in a football tournament and then will have to put the pads away until Aug 1.

Well seeing how the NFL is not doing much these days I asked Chris Massey, the long snapper for the St Louis Rams if he would not mind coming out and talking with the different boys and he jumped at it. He shared many different stories and answered all the kids questions and then posed for pictures and signed whatever the kids wanted. He told them that he actually used to play in the pee wee leagues against Randy Moss. The kids and parents had a blast. Here are some pictures.

Thanks and yes they were very excited. I got emails from parents and coaches saying they were all smiles and talking.

Very cool! It's nice to see an athlete doing something like this for the kids.

Couldn't have said it better myself- 100% agreed! Very nice to hear that a superstar doesn't mind coming down to us "regular joes" levels and doing something cool for the kids. How were you able to get him out in the first place???

Thank you for the kind words. He is 100% cool and very down to earth. The way I got him to come out..I just asked him ;) I have met him a few times at camp and I am friends with him on facebook so I just asked and he said yes. I should also note that I have done some work for someof the other Rams players and I guess it did not hurt.
