I have been contemplating getting a Hanley Gold Refractor Auto or a David Wright Gold Refractor Auto for some time.

Today one of them popped up at a price that I was willing to pay, and I hit the BIN. Pretty excited about it. Can't wait for it to arrive.

It was costly, but this was my first big purchase in a LONG time and I even sold off the majority of my collection. Only looking to keep around certain special cards.

Wow, nice buy!

I'd be afraid to spend that kind of money on that kind of card raw.

Nice card, but I couldn't spend $1,000 on a card that has a good possibility of being trimmed.

Buying a rookie card that is not slabbed, and is eight years old is very risky.

Very nice buy.....I agree with the others, for me personally, it would have to be graded.....judging from the seller, I dont think you have too much to worry about with him, but who knows where he got it...

Very nice buy, wasn't there one going for like 890 several times (starting bid but no bids)?

I think you're talking about the BGS 8.5 that sat up for a couple months with an opening bid 899. Someone finally bit in March.

I was wondering what had happened to that one. I wanted to snag it, but did not have the funds. :(
