As many of you know i ran a contest last year where i had people take a pic of themselves buying something at their local card shop and randomly gave away 2 - $150 cash prizes of in store credit at your local card shop, additionally Chris on behalf of FCB added a third spot into the contest. I think the contest went really well and thought it would be nice to run another year end contest.

That brings me to this years contest. I decided id like to do something different and get more prizes this year.
Here are the basic details so keep an eye out in the coming weeks for me to make the official post for it.
Prize:
I will be buying 2-3 hobby boxes of cards. These will not be low end or cheap off brand Sage or Just cards. They will be baseball products and most likely be a 2012 Topps brand. I will be trying to pick something not only on box value but make sure it has decent cards/hits. I will be giving the packs away as prizes.
for example i buy 3 boxes of cards with 24 packs in each, there will be 36 winners who will each received two packs at random from the 3 boxes. So depending on what product i get will depend on how the packs are given away. i may do 3 different products or all 3 the same.
How to Win:
-Simple, all you have to do is post in the thread to win. It does not matter how new or old of a member you are you can enter. However, be warned that when it comes time to randomly pick the winners (ill explain how later) that if you haven't posted in at least 3 weeks that you will automatically be removed from the contest. Im not looking for people that poke their heads in every 3 months just to get into contests. Im obviously not requiring you to post every day but i think once every three weeks is more than fair.
-When the contest close date arrives i will assign each person who posted a number, 1 through whatever depending on how many people are entered. and your number will depend on when you posted. so if you were the 3rd person to enter then your number will be 3. I will then take and random.org all those numbers and the first XX (depends on how many packs are being given away) amount of people will win.
-In addition to the above posted. Random act of kindness will get your name added a second time into the random.org. This is basically if you send a freebie to someone to help their collection. And what has to happen is the person who received the freebie must post in the thread (when its created) with a scan of what was sent and who sent it. You are more than welcome to send as many freebies as you would like but will only get one extra entry into the contest.
-Random act of kindness bonus: Of all the people who get an extra spot because they gave freebies away, i will run a separate random.org and give away something additional away to this winner. Prize to be determined later.
This contest will run for at least two months and will start by the end of this month. And those who win packs will be asked to please post your break either in the contest thread when you receive them or in the box break section
I am posting this now so i could get some feedback from others on any suggestions or ideas to make this better.
