He's 10-2 on the year with an ERA in the mid 3's. He rocked awesome run support in his first 4 or 5 starts, but he's been pitching great all year. I predicted in Fedbruary that he and Jason Kubel would have breakout years in 2009. So far slowey is 10-2 in 16 or so starts, and Kubel is hitting like .313 with 13HR and 41 RBI. Hopefully I'm right about the breakout seasons, but if they can keep it up there is no doubt.
These guys are amazing and under the rader nationally(even though this thread is somewhat biased), and I just want to hear others thoughts on these two. I've got huge stashes of both, but the Kubel stash is more than likely here to stay. Although if he belts 40HR, then it may go.
Anyways, what does FCB think of these two?
