Do the Brewers need a lefty starter and a young third baseman? Valencia and Liriano for Grienke might not be too bad for the two teams.

Never happen... I'd like it to as a Twins fan.

I think he'll stay. He's 14-0 at Miller Park. Greinke is all about comfort and he has that in Milwaukee. The media stays off his back and he can live his life in peace. For a guy with social anxiety Milwaukee is the perfect place to stay.

There have been rumors of a trade to the White Sox. With the lack of fan support that the Sox always seem to have each year, Greinke will feel even more comfortable pitching in front of 22K a night.

We all want him to stay, but the Brewers payroll is already at an unprecedented level already. With arby increases I give it about a 30% chance we sign him out of Free Agency.

I am trying to unload some of my unneeded bobbleheads. I have a couple of Gantners and Brauns. If you guys are interested, $20 shipped each if you guys are interested.

Nyjer=cancer (once the honeymoon period ends)...

Haha, always has to be someone throwing in a Nyjer blast. His bat and defense have been a cancer, but that is about it.

I think they need to trade Greinke now, and get what they can. Even if he wants to re-sign with the Brewers I don't think they can afford that contract. I am all for gutting the team, but I think Weeks needs to be added to the list of guys they keep. Yes, he has been brutal this season, but why sell low?

He had that in Kansas City as well, it's not like the media here is any worse and even today he has tons of fan support.

I agree, Greinke wanted to be traded. The team wasn't getting any better and we were not going to sign any big free agents to help out. I doubt he re-signs in KC, but with the youth that's here and still coming you never know.

The only positive spin I can put on this season is that it now allows me to get out and do something during the summer instead of spending my evenings at home watching the games. There really is no point to support or watch the games when you know there is a 2% chance they will win. At least with Houston, you have a lot of younger players that are fun to watch. In fact, when those teams that are worse than the Brewers, you pretty much know your team is going to get on a little hot streak.

Ive never understood this mentality but then again I have been watching games since the late 80's. Win or Lose I will always watch my team play. When a team doesn't win the fair weather fans go away.

I would certainly go to more games if there were more fans there and less partiers

I've never understood why people think they'll get rewarded if they sit through and watch their AA team get smacked around by an actual MLB team. I've always questioned the intelligence of people who think fans owe the team something.

No. For some reason his girlfriend didn't get my messages until later on that evening so we are going to meet up hopefully in July sometime. That was actually ok with me as I was so hungover from the Brewer game the day before. :)

I think with me, after witnessing the team last year I was expecting the Brewers to field a better team. This year has just absolutely disgusted me with all the injuries and trying to find the reasoning why Rickie Weeks continues to play (however is doing a bit better as of late). The team to me just isn't as exciting as it was years in the past with Prince Fielder. I think when you KNOW your team is going to lose it makes it harder to watch.

Also, I know that the Brewers are not going to bring up any of their younger guys, not just due to inexperience, but the Brewers rarely do this unless their players go all the way through the minor league system. So if the Brewers aren't even going to try to field a better team and stick with the system that obviously is not working, why should I continue to support them?

I'm content staying home and watching games now a days. It never fails that we always sit next to some fan who feels like he is the biggest Brewers fan in the world and he can say or do what ever he wants. Then again I guess because I'm a dedicated fan I feel like I should be rewarded by sitting and watching a game. :-?

The Astros play in the third largest market in baseball and have made a World Series in the last ten years. Live in our market for a while then we'll talk.

Yes. And then to watch it all come crashing down because of poor decision making really blows.
