My new PC focus: The funniest names in sports

Got this back from SGC yesterday. Highest grade this card has ever seen by a large margin! Stole it on COMC 3 weeks ago for $5.75 and knew it was a banger once I had it in hand.

some recent pickups... the card with no name on front is Ed Dick. The auto card has a cool short story its a 1995 and was just pulled from a Walgreens value box last week. guy posted it on FB cause he thought it was funny and I bought it as fast as I could for a great price.

Been a very long time since I added an update but had to showoff my top buy of 2023 so far.. a card so rare I’ve seen only an image online until I was able to buy not 1 but 4 copies and hook up a couple other crazy collectors like myself.

My biggest purchase to date was this PSA9 though.. days after I bought on eBay I saw this post in a FB group and the story that goes with the card is priceless in itself! The SGC8 I sent for grading myself last year after buying the card raw on COMC for $5.75. It was the highest graded on any registry until the PSA copy surfaced so I sold my other raw copy of this card to fund the graded purchase(covered all but $30 of the cost so a no brainer). So I have the 2 best copies of an iconic card and have been lucky enough to own 4 total copies. Not bad for such a tough card and one I initially thought I might never own.

"I found a Cubby Cox in Mianus". That was quite the surprising discovery I would imagine.
