My Pirates Collection

I have accumulated a rather large Pirates collection over the years including cards, tickets, books, bobble heads and many other items. so I decided to make this thread to share them with the board. each new post will feature a specific theme whether it's a player, team set, Vintage cards, autographs, tickets, etc.

all comments are welcomed and thanks for taking the time to look through my collection. if you have any Pirates cards or anything having to do with the Pirates you think I might like please feel free to PM me.

I will start off with three of my favorite Pirates players of all time Barry Bonds, Bobby Bonilla and Andy Van Slyke. as a teenager in the late 1980's and early 90's I spent my Summers watching these guys lead the Bucs to 3 straight National League Championship Series. I still actively collect Van Slyke but haven't added any Bonds or Bonilla cards in a while.

I was thinking of selling my collection sometime. Thinking of starting a Ryan Braun pc, although those are pretty expensive. Not sure yet though.

James Braun is an excellent choice if you do decide to start a new player collection. he's a very talented player and will be for years to come. which I would imagine will make some of his cards pricey.

I've taken my Yankees collection in a very similar direction, Topps/Topps Heritage team sets and base cards of my three favorites, Rivera/Bernie/Mattingly.

I have a 1993 Topps Rockies set (minus Kendall) if you need it. LMK.

It's nice to see someone take the time to "present" their collection well vs. a bunch of scattered scans of different sizes and having to scroll left/right. Good luck w/ the collection.

Do have you have a Jason Kendall collection? I've got close to 200 Kendalls, at least 2/3rds are from his Pittsburgh days. He's one of 5 players I collect that were sentenced to any length of time with the Pirates (Casey, Wakefield, Mazeroski and Burnitz being the others). Here's two of my better Kendall pickups:

You want to be even more jealous? I picked them up on COMC for 85¢, 79¢, and 88¢ respectively
