I've built hundreds of base sets and even a few rare 90's insert sets, but I've never had the guts to try and finish an auto or game used set before.

First up, 2013 Topps WBC Tribute. I don't remember this set when it came out. It was probably during one of the Bowman releases where I was throwing hundreds down the drain to pull a bunch of Andrew Aplins. I bought the Stanton purple 1/1 base this summer and thought the design was pretty neat. It wasn't until I bought the Stanton patch that I got curious about the rest of the set. I knew there were WBC logos and flag patches, which I thought were awesome but never thought I'd own. I started buying a few here and there, and played it smart and waited for sellers to list a bunch so I could save on shipping. I plan on doing the DR set in gold, the PR set in blue, and the Japan set in orange to commemorate their gold, silver and bronze medals. I'll upgrade the patches when I get closer to finishing the set. Still got a looonnng way to go.

I absolutely LOVE the black /5's.

1/1's. Might be adding a Venezuelan flag soon

Next up, 2014 Five Star. I always loved Five Star, and this year Stanton has a ton of high end stuff in it. Again, I never planned on building this set. I bought a Livan for my Marlins collection for a few bucks and really liked it. Did the same thing as Tribute, started bottom feeding...multiple cards from the same seller, lots, etc.

Silver Signatures/Golden Graphs. Not sure if I'll finish this set. If I do, it'll probably be any parallel goes

Auto Jumbo patches. Also have a Stanton redemption and a Longo incoming.

Tribute WBC was a pretty terrible product overall, but those patches were a highlight for sure. I have almost pulled the trigger on some of them myself. Just some really cool and unique patches that set themselves apart. The Five Stars are nice too. Well done.

Very nice set to put together. Also a daunting task. I only own one of these, but it's one of my favorite PC Cards.

This adds Brazil to the black /5 country type set. Neat patch too

Awesome stuff! If I recall, the WBC boxes didn't sell well. Any idea how the prices for individuals have moved compared to a better received product such as five star?

Awesome stuff! Now you have the CarGo and the Fernandez, surely you don't need that silly Goldschmidt ;)

I'm gonna throw the CarGo up on eBay and see if I can get a nice offer. The Goldy will be available to you, otherwise it will stay in my collection. The Stanton finally showed up. I somehow missed it even though I have push alerts and I check eBay nearly every hour. I'm hoping it will show back up live in a week or so.

Speaking of Stanton, I got my two auto patches in. The 35 is in line with other patches, and I can't complain about the rainbow with 9 color breaks

I've had a similar problem lately, almost missed a Randy Johnson card I've been searching for for quite a while, despite getting alerts, having it in my feed and yes, checking eBay obsessively. Just happened to see it appear in the "You might be interested in" sidebar on another auction. Granted Randy has a lot of auctions posted everyday, but still.

Just checked on that Stanton, didn't realize it was a redemption. Pretty good price whoever bought it for, much less than the Goldy.
