Cant wait to get bashed on this one but I wanted to give my opinion on Jesus Montero.
Jesus Montero has been a top tier prospect for the Yankees the past 2 years. J. Posada has done rats ass this year and it seems Russ's glorious run is coming to an end. Before I continue i do not have 1 card of montero and this was not intended to pimp. I think they should give Jesus a shot in the Majors and put a long awaited arrival to rest.

Oh yeah. This is Posada's last season as a big league player in my book. Hopefully Montero will be the starting catcher come opening day 2012. I wish that were sooner though. :)

As a Yankees fan, I view Montero as trade bait. Russell Martin is in his prime and calls a great game. Check out the staffs ERA. We have Gary Sanchez, who I believe is 3 years younger than Montero. When Russell Martin is starting to decline behind the plate then bring up Sanchez in 3-5 years.

Montero, as trade bait can command a starting pitcher.

Yep...Montero will be one of their big trade chips come deadline. He should net them a decent return.

I want Montero to succeed as a Yankee, but I do not think they will bring him up. He has already had over 700 AAA ABs and has put up numbers that would justify his call up. He can get buy catching in AAA, but he won't in the majors. He will look lost and his trade value will drop.

The Yanks won't have patience bringing him up. I sold 95% of my Montero stash and honestly, I couldn't be happier that I did. His card value dropped right after I sold.

Austin Romine will be the Yankees future catch if Martin breaks down.

I agree with this. Posada might be shot, but the way they've been playing Martin and Cervelli lately, it seems they have no intention on calling him up.

I say they trade him for pitching as well and wait for Sanchez. If you sold already, not a bad decision, because if they unload him to a small market team that will probably kill the value of his cards by 25 percent right off the bat.
