Hey Guys,
Got back from the WP show a few minutes ago (stopped by for dinner at Boulder Creek, eh...I don't recommend it!).
The show was good but VERY crowded! This was the first time I ever waited in line OUTSIDE of the hall to buy my ticket. Got in and it's good that the same dealers set up in their usual spots so it was easy for me to head to the ones I liked.
Dropped off a BGS order and started browsing. Nothing caught my eye. Rummaged through few bargain bins and bought:
Trevor Reckling Threads Auto RC for $5
Clete Thomas Bowman Blue Auto $3
Danny Espinosa Prime Cuts Auto /249 $3
Then bought 2 packs of those ULTRA THICK toploaders.
I'm glad to see so many families at the show. It's good to see this them make this a family activity. Lots of women, kids, strollers etc. The aisles were tight (very tough during peak times).
Since I saw no singles that I liked, I went a different route and bought a BK and FB box! I have NEVER bought any FB or BK boxes ever at a show! It's all baseball for most of my life!
08 Ultimate Collection BK was a eh...I know it's 10 jerseys but I would have wanted an auto at least (got it for $80...thanks Seymour!)
08 SP Authentic FB...I thought the box was a dud but then I saw ebay prices for Henne and Brennan...WHY are they both commanding high prices? Aren't they backup QB's?? BTW, as you can, I have no clue on FB cards! :x
On the way out, grabbed a box of 08EEE (since I couldn't leave w/o busting a box of BB cards). Eh, hopefully Yeicok will turn out decent!
Overall good show, crowded as heck...but was fun. Can't wait for Hofstra!
