Is there a current or past player (common or low level) who is treated as a star in your area?

Maybe the player had a moment of glory (Chris Burke? Sid Bream?) or was good but not great (Dan Gladden?)

There's many in the New York area for sure such as Mickey Rivers, Chris Chambliss, Tino Martinez, Ron Darling, Mookie Wilson, Sid Fernandez etc etc

Jeez, the Giants still love Pat Burrell, Cody Ross, Marco Scutaro, Mike Morse and even Sandoval. Some big moments for their world series wins

In Toronto Munenori Kawasaki got rock star treatment whenever he got called up. John McDonald was also hugely popular, dubbed "The Prime Minister of Defense."

I've interacted with Kawasaki before at minor league games, and it's all deserved, he is without a doubt my favorite nonMet player!

The fan base in Colorado really loves Ryan Spilborghs. Now that he works for ROOT sports and is at every game he's always hanging around the broadcast booth in the outfield. Always has been a very approachable guy and is super sincere with all the fans.

Craig Counsell is probably the biggest one around here - I still hear people talk about Ryan Roberts as well.

Shane Victorino in Hawaii. He's a superstar here and always comes home during the offseason to do tons of charity work and is very friendly in the community. He lives in Las Vegas now, but he still spends a lot of time in the islands.

Kolton Wong is getting that way.

Kurt Suzuki to a lesser extent. But Victorino is the man here.

Craig Counsell here in WI

With a lackluster franchise history there's a handful of guys: Gantner, Gorman, really anyone who was a member of the team that lost a World Series lol
-More recently Deer, Sveum, Higuera, guy in my sig
-guys who will be viewed as "Milwaukee Legends" in a few years when nostalgia kicks in: Sheets, Jenkins, probably Nyjer Morgan
