Don't forget we had the number 2 class (according to ESPN) last year. Most of those guys were redshirted too
excellent point.

and another year into the transition will only help. if SC is loaded, signing a small class this year might be a blessing.

Yeah I think so. I believe we have 20 or 21 scholarships for next year even if no one leaves early or transfers.

I have not "kept up with it" but if I am sick again tomorrow, I definitely will be watching it.

I don't keep up, but I do like to check in and see how well the Longhorns did.

Which, like usual, was a top 5 class.

It has become a tradition around Austin in February to consistently land one of the top recruiting classes every year.

yet, (and i've been blasted for saying this on Rivals) they could do so, so much more. imo, Texas could and should have the #1 or #2 class every season. since '02, their signing day classes have averaged 10th. i think once Muschamp steps in, he will bring with him a renewed sense of urgency Texas hasn't had for recruiting in a long, long time. if he recruits anything like Saban, who "trained" him, UT will be the recruiting juggernaut they almost are.

Mack Brown is a good recruiter; no one will argue that, but he has gotten fat and happy in Austin. Texas has the #1 recruiting advantage in all of college football. even above USC. if Saban or Meyer or Carroll were at UT, they'd be #1. i guess, in a nutshell, that is what i mean.

Indeed, I do believe you.

He was one of the reasons AP didn't commit to UT (and one of the reasons Jevon Snead did). Plus, the other Roy Williams should have been ours too :(

Either way, I love Mack, I do, but I look forward to Muschamp eventually.

Texas high school football is amazing :D
