Uh Atlanta would kill it.. but oh well

Atlanta had it in 1992. Plus, everybody says what a terrible sports town Atlanta is (even if they do have all four major team sports there). Is that what would keep them away? I owuld love to visit Atlanta for an extended period--and go to the National!

They will never have it in New York because it is way too expensive for dealers and collectors... I hope it never goes back to AC, that show overall was pretty bad and if they ran another one there it would be even worse.

Atlanta hosted later in the '90's as well. And it was a miserable experience for just about everyone involved. That will never, ever happen again.

:-( I was hoping Anaheim would be on the list. I missed the last one and will probably never attend one outside of the West Coast.

Please, for all thats good in this Hobby, please oh please never again in Baltimore.

No knock against the town or all the water vendors on the street (I actually do like the harbour part) but it was probably the worst one I ever went to.

My only National was in 1990 in Arlington, Texas. Turnout was huge but the hobby has changed a bunch since then. I would like to see it come back to Texas but I doubt that happens. I'm in Atlanta every year in June for the Blade Show. Miserable.

I think they should go up higher, like to Minneapolis. They would have the Dome (considering the Gophers would be done, road trip, or be using Seibert during the weekend). There is a whole un-tapped slue of collectors especially in the North that would for sure come down for the event if they knew about it.

I know it is more for dealers' easy travel. But at these locations, I would never even get to go. I am tryin to convince the family to go down their this summer, see some family, maybe catch a (gulp) Cubs or (smaller gulp) White Sox game. Maybe head over too Beloit...

it's a dream... I know... but it's fun to dream

I live 20 minutes from Beloit and go to Snapper games frequently....believe me, Beloit is no dream but a nightmare in many ways. Hopefully they can build that new stadium soon. That will be a great place to see a ballgame.

The town or the team/stadium?

We know some people from somewhere close to Beloit (about an hour away from Chicago I think, I may be wrong). I would love to go to the National, and then head to their place for a couple days and trip over to Beloit.

It's a dream to get over there... I know it isn't going to happen. Fun to dream though. The MN State is coming up, so I will be able to go to that one and do some stuff...

I'd rather it be in Detroit than Cleveland, but if it's going to be in the Midwest...Chicago or St. Louis would be best.

Personally, the National should simply bounce from East to West every three years. Every other year if would be in Chicago (or St. Louis/Kansas City)

For example...
2011 - Chicago
2012 - Anaheim/Los Angeles/San Francisco
2013 - St. Louis/Kansas City
2014 - Baltimore
2015 - Chicago
2016 - Anaheim/Los Angeles/San Francisco
2017 - St. Louis/Kansas City
2018 - Atlanta
2019 - Chicago

That looks like a pretty good schedule to me. KC has plenty of space for it. The track is getting a 2nd race and 150k extra people come in town for the Sprint Cup race now, we'd be able to easily take it on. Plenty to do, cheaper prices, best bbq in the world. Hell even STL would be better than ******* cleveland.

I am voting for Baltimore for 2012. I had a good show there, it was a fun place for the show, and there was enough for my wife to do other than the show.
ME TOO!
I'll be an hour away. :D :D :D
This would be my first chance to actually get to attend! :0)

I'd love if it were in Boston or New York, but it doesn't sound like that's going to happen. I'm 6.5 hours from Baltimore (and have relatives in Annapolis) so I guess that wouldn't be too bad.
