To me, it's cases like this that make any sort cries to "revert the home run titles to Aaron and Maris" a joke.

He was suspended 50 games for using amphetamines...pills that were rampant in Major League Baseball for decades.

It makes sense to me that a player turn to PEDs - especially really young guys who have nothing to loose, including a reputation - would be likely to use them.

A culture change in baseball is needed to get rid of PEDs, I don't think a suspension policy is enough to cut it anymore. These young guys who just don't have enough talent are just going to stay the course until that happens.

Really though, if PEDs actually did enhance performance, Id hate to see his performance without PEDs.
