There is no logic to Kobe Bryant. He can't foul, and he always gets fouled. That's why I hate the NBA; superstars are just treated differently.KandKCards said:So you can bitch if a call is missed on your guy, but call it legit when it's in your favor. Nice. And there's Exhibit A of why I hate Pau Gasol. I wish someone would punch him in the face. (And before the Laker fans tell me how it was a dirty play by Pietrus, I understand that, but it's still a bush league response).
And where are all the Laker fans calling for Derek Fisher's head now? As much as I hate to see the Lakers win (and there is now no doubt they are winning the finals), I'm glad that Fisher is the one who won it and not scum like Vujacic, Gasol or Walton, and it's nice to see the ignorance of Laker fans proved again

Card Magnet said:I hope that LA fans write a thank you letter to Orlando for gifting them a win. Clearly too many mistakes that cost them. How many times did the Magic have the chance to put LA away, and just fail because of their own stupidity, not even good LA play.

It's the truth, the Magic blew it *cough cough DH12 missing 2 free throws with 10 seconds left, or Nelson just watching Fisher shoot the 3...*wlalocal71 said:Card Magnet said:I hope that LA fans write a thank you letter to Orlando for gifting them a win. Seriously, that win is because of the Magic's mistakes, not the Lakers play. It's not meant to be in bad taste. It's just pointing out how that Orlando kept making errors and missing key plays without any real Laker influence.aw00d05 said:It's the truth, the Magic blew it *cough cough DH12 missing 2 free throws with 10 seconds left, or Nelson just watching Fisher shoot the 3...*wlalocal71 said:Card Magnet said:I hope that LA fans write a thank you letter to Orlando for gifting them a win. No defense AT ALL on the Fisher 3's, the Magic let up in the 3rd, the Magic blew it more than the Lakers won it, they hit the shots but the Magic didn't help themselves one bit by not playing defense and missing FT's.wlalocal71 said:How can you guys say the Lakers didn't make plays? Did you see Fish drain the 3 after Howard missed the FTs, or the 3 in OT? How about the Lakers coming back from 12 down in the second half, on the road? That's called making plays to influence the outcome of the game, FYI, regardless of missed FTs. I don't care how many FTs the other team misses, you still need to make your shots to win, and in this case the Lakers made the shots.
Keep the hate coming, I love it.

I didn't say they didn't make plays, but that the Magic failed their chances to seal it with stupid mistakes, and not results of Laker play on them.wlalocal71 said:How can you guys say the Lakers didn't make plays? Nelson was 1 on 1 with Fisher and backed off, Kobe was in the corner 90 feet away...wlalocal71 said:aw00d05 said:No defense AT ALL on the Fisher 3's, the Magic let up in the 3rd, the Magic blew it more than the Lakers won it, they hit the shots but the Magic didn't help themselves one bit by not playing defense and missing FT's.wlalocal71 said:How can you guys say the Lakers didn't make plays? It's not that there's no defense, that's what happens when teams have to double Kobe. Guys get open 3s. You still have to make the shots, period end of story.

It's not Laker hate.
Me saying that I want beat Kobe in the face with a bat until his muscles are so damaged that he can't make his ridiculous "scowl" ever again is hate. Saying Gasol looks like a sickly llama is hate (although he kinda does). Saying that the Lakers would have lost had Dwight made a FT or Nelson used his head at the end or regulation, or Hedo (well you pick his moment at the end) is not.
