I've been trying to think of a way to do a contest for the NCAA tourney. Thought I'd try to get an idea of how many may be in for it. If anyone has any ideas or any input that'd be great. This is what I'm thinking.

-Everyone put in a card at X sell value (thinking 5-10). Price of the card depends on how many enter and others.
-Depending on how many entries each person will get X number of teams. Teams will be picked through Random. My only problem is I can't do a video of the draw. I may need someones help.
-Teams will be drawn once the bracket is filled out on selection Sunday.
-Winner will be the person who has the winning team in the pot and will win the cards sent in.

Would this work??? Just trying to get an idea

Sounds fun. Can you get more than 1 team or just one spot per person?

I do one similar every year but it is 25 a man there is a blind draw
I then go by the spread in the local paper here (Sun-Times) the team needs to win by beating the spread.
If not the person who had the losing team then picks up the winning team and moves on. It is a blast because
you can pull a dog of a team and still move on even if that team did not win, because the other team did not cover.

And all pushes or considered a lose just like Vegas. Last year I had 2 guys start off with some high seed teams
and go to the final four because of some not covering teams. It was a great time.

I think it will work if you lay out all the ground rules before hand
Good Luck.

Thinking it will be multiple teams. I was hoping for either 8, 16, or 32 people getting in on it. Then everyone would get 8, 4, or 2 teams.

I'm definitely down. I like the idea of getting teams at random and using the spread.

One idea that might be better than putting up cards is doing paypal instead and then the winner just getting either the prize money or a box of cards from the money. A really cool idea would be buying a nice Jordan, Lebron, or Kobe auto and then making that the prize. We can figure out the cost per share based on the price of the card and the number of people playing.
