Sold $300 worth of graded cards. Buyer is paying $19 for priority flat fate int'l. He is asking me if he is going to be charged "duty." How do I know if customs will charge him or not?

I think if it is under a certain value that you declare then they will not pay duty.

I would but the value at 100 or less and since your shipping with tracking you should be fine
if anything goes wrong (with PP) Because they will not got by what the value on the custom form
but the actaully sale is what they will go by.

Canadian Duty is completely hit or miss. Unless you ship via UPS, who screw you over as hard as it gets.

I've purchased 600 dollars worth of cards that've been marked as such, without problems. On the other hand, I've been nailed for a 20 dollar overage on the *gift*

I think 60/40 is a fair estimate on whether or not he'll have to pay duty.
