What is the deal with this card please? Is it a printing plate auto, so does that mean that there is 3 others just like it. He is telling me its a white border, what the hell is that? I know it has white borders around it so I dont need the "I am going to be the funny guy with my answer", just want to know the deal.

Thanks

It looks like the auto is fake to me, but I have seen some of those Upper Deck printing plates with the border on them.

UD BLACK Printing Plate Auto.

So does that mean that there is 3 others?

I know that Flashmelo has that actually 1/1 auto he picked up. Not sure if he is the one that got it on eBay, but it sold for $367.

I didn't think the UD Black Printing Plates were cut out, I thought they were just discolored in the middle. I'm not sure though.

The Black plates did feature the cutout, much like UD Premier plates did. I didn't realize they were auto'd though. Does it have a COA on the back for the auto?

Is that sticker on the plate and border? Just make sure it has the coa on it.

Thanks for the help everyone! I am in no way getting this card. He says that he has a offer of $900 and wont even take that because he wants no less than $1k for it.

I sent him a link to this thread so he can read it and see that he has one of four. I also tried to tell him that the true 1/1(which is now owned by Flasmelo) only got $367 on eBay a few weeks back. But he is stuck on $1,000 for it. His card and can ask whatever he wants, but no way I would ever go that high for it!

Thanks Again

There is little to no chance that card fetches 1k. I know its his card but damn, look at what the Sterling 1/1 g/u autos have gotten from Pujols in recent past. No way that it touches 1k. I would think more around 3-400 but thats about it. IMO of course.

I thought it was only one plate per player, and then the white set, with just the sticker auto. But who knows.

If I got a $900 offer on that Pujols I'd sell in a heartbeat, but I'm just a Rowand collector, so what do I know. Here's the regular 1/1 auto with the black printing plate. Putting a sticker on a press plate with a border is definitely an odd concept.

It occurs to me that putting out a set of plates for a 1/1 card is kind of odd. I mean, there's a 4:1 ratio of plates to cards. I'd think in this case I'd rather have the actual card. Though the complete 5-card set would be a good thing, too.
