Need some help! How rare is this Polamalu? Crazy Price!

Just wondering why this went for almost $150. I think it is a beautiful set and I own the regular embossed version.

Any idea on print run? Also, does anybody know anything about the variations in the set and how exactly to distinguish them all?

I don't know the exact odds but I bust a decent amount of retail and only had 2 die cuts and both were veterans.

Well, lord knows there's enough crazy Steelers fans to help run the price up alone.
ACCORDING to the beckett I have (and yes I know to take everything w/ a grain of salt from them)
They say:

2003 Upper Deck Standing "O" Rookies #41 Troy Polamalu is $12
Embossed is 2x basic inserts
Emobssed stated odds is 1:24
Embossed Die Cut Stated odd is 1:480
Embossed Die Cut Not Priced Due to Scarcity.

No mention of any print run or S/N though. Could just be one of those SUPER tough-to-find inserts! Especially a RC of his! Lord knows he's a hell of a player!

Beckett OPG has the card BV at 100
However his card has been selling quite well as of late.
He does have 2 SB rings and is one of the Top Defensive players in the league. Steelers Fans cant seem to find enough product to buy! lol

paid more then double bv for his Contenders BGS 9.5......but there are only 2 9.5's out there so I don't really feel as bad as my bank account did ::facepalm::

I understand that I should never expect to get steals on Polamalu rookie cards. But, this sale seems a bit outrageous. I paid significantly less for my Elite Rookie and Die-Cut and they have print runs of 100 or less.
