Need some help with this Kobe Exquisite please...

Patch cards make me nervous but I like this one. I know the Exquisite Limited Logos have some sick patches, but it still doesn't stop me from being paranoid about making an offer. Especially when the seller sells t-shirts on ebay.. (1+1=?)

That being said, now is the time to be selling Kobe, not buying. This coming from a huge Kobe collector/fan. I might unload some things and buy back at half next year.


Also that seller, I believe either bought a Kobe collection or collected Kobe. He had a lot of exquisite Kobe's the last few months. I wouldn't worry about it, however he is pretty firm on his prices, tried to buy 2 nickname autos from him already.

I dont think the patch is real. The only 'S' on a Bryant Lakers jersey is the 'S' in Lakers. And as you can see, the 'S' on the patch does not match the shape of the 'S' in Lakers.

The closes S I could find is this. I'm not sure if the Lakers wore this style or not, and if it was made in purple. The only other thing I can figure is if the Lakers had a purple jersey that had "Los Angeles" written on the front of it.

Perhaps a Lakers fan could shed some light on the above.

I was also wondering where that patch came from and could not find anywhere on the jersey that has it.

Thanks fellas. Just enough to pass for me. This is exactly why I stopped collecting cards. Pisses me off.. I blame the card companies, not the forgers..

Looking on the web.. I am seeing several different "Lakers" on jerseys.. American Memorabilia has one where there is space bewteen the "S" and the curve of the "R".. This is his away jersey.. maybe the home jersey from that time frame had the same style lettering..

The only thing I thought of was maybe it was the S upside down, still doesn't fit. I would contact UD. They likely can tell you on that exquisite card.
