I am a huge fan of baseball, but this season has just been horrific. My team (Brewers) really did nothing by the trade deadline so there is really no hope they will even compete next year. I just lost nearly all interest in baseball just before the all-star break. I just found out that Gallardo was coming back from the DL. Didn't even know he was hurt....but I did know he was sucking just like the rest of the team. I have stuck with the Brewers in all of the other crappy years, but really just lost interest this year with the poor management and coaching. I will always be a Brewers fan, but it just pisses me off that nothing is ever really done to make them a better team.

I also lost complete interest in baseball cards too. I am now focusing more on Football than I ever have before. My past collections have always been at least 90% baseball no matter what time of the year.

Anyone else ever have this issue? Just get so disgusted with your team that you almost completely stop watching baseball for that season?

I love playing baseball, watching it lately can be a chore.

I will always care. I WISH I could turn it off. But I can't. So much so, that it creeps back into my mind even when I try to ignore it. I've noticed that Milwaukee has pulled even with the Cubs AT THE BOTTOM; and I care about like it's even a real thing that matters.

I'm looking forward to UW football because of no expectations. I'm not exactly looking forward to Green Bay football, since the expectations are SO high all the time again, and I feel this year's team might be headed for a correction. Plus, I'll have to hear about it from my XXXX-eating Bears and Vikings fans friends; and it's all so sad, since most of them have NEVER experienced a Super Bowl win that they are aware of.

Mets are awful but the prospect of watching a future rotation of

Harvey/Syndergaard/Mejia/Wheeler/Niese

has got me excited

Awful or not I will always watch the Brewers and Football doesn't begin until the end of October for me, unless it's college. I'm loving watching the Brewers right now, this gives me the chance to see what the young talent can do. Last nights game was fun, Scooter crushed 2 homers and Davis got a hold of one also.

I shouldn't watch the Brewer's because of my hate for Roenickie and Melvin for his lack of movement at the trade deadline, but I still tune in for a while night after night. They had quite a few pieces that should have been moved to stock up the system for the future and to make room for the guys that I am really enjoying watching right now.

Only thing that keeps me watching is Segura, Gomez, Davis, and Peralta. Watching Segura beat out an infield hit, steal second, advance to third on a wild pitch, and then score after being caught in a run down on a failed squeeze was awesome last night.

I am also pumped for football though and buying more football then I ever have.

I am in the same boat as most Brewers fans, I had a lull about midseason where I believe the team was completely unwatchable. Now, I tune into every Thornburg or Peralta start. Plus, now that Scooter is in the lineup almost everyday, and pair that with Khris Davis and Carlos Gomez means I am back to watching every game I get a chance to see.
