That is sweet!!!

If you get a chance, get that signed by a player(s) from that team. Great and unique item!

I was thinking about trying to at Fan Fest in Feb., but I'm not sure if I want to mess up the display of the clean bottle though. Great decision to make though.

have it signed in silver paint pen by posey, lincy and ross or wilson or cain. id get it done by 1 or the big core players

That is a great piece for the collection!!

Well Done!!! :D

Thanks, I think the idea that I would like to own a celebration bottle some day probably started a couple of years ago after the Rays made it to the Series and sold/auctioned off some of their bottles. At the time I thought it was an odd item to own, but as I thought about it some more, I began to realized that a bottle was a direct connection to the celebration and to the winning team. And if the Giants made it to the post season again I would have to try and get a bottle.

Who cares about the bottle, that's an awesome Canizaro jersey! From his rookie season, right? I do like the bottle as well, flippancy aside; probably one of the coolest bottles of booze out there. (Well, aside from the full ones...) That would look great displayed, possibly with a few game used items from the Series if you can get ahold of them. Did it come with a cork as well?

I've also been interested in such a bottle since the Rays sold theirs from the ALCS. Would rather have one from winning the World Series, though, hence why I've held back (that, and as you say, price--I'd rather get something that I don't have to "upgrade"). Or I could look for this can; although all things considered, whatever recycing depository it probably ended up in almost certainly gave it a far better fate than survival.

Great pick-up and what a piece ot have for the PC!

Now, not to be picky but that's not champagne. It's sparkling wine. The name "Champagne" can only be used by the Champagne region in France. (notice on the back of the bottle "sparkling wine").
Okay, I'm being picky since it's just about the same thing (Champagne is slightly better).

Serioulsy, great item nonetheless and definately a nice pick-up.

Good eye, it is Canizaro's rookie jersey. The ironic thing is that 1996, the year the jersey is from, was one of the worst in Giants history with close to or over 100 loses. Unfortunately the bottle was sold seperately from the corks, the corks cost an additional $25.

Forget the can, the modified drinking untesil in the Gomes pic is what you need to round out your collection.

This is true, and after checking out the website for the sparkling wine, I have also learned that a full bottle costs just $19.99. After someone dumped this one out and slapped a Giants sticker on it I paid $200, only a 1000% mark-up.

Nice, I was looking at picking some of those up if any are left after Christmas and I get another paycheck.

This is a cool item, but that NLCS bottle is pretty sweet too and you had the great fortune to actually be there during the celebration.

Nice piece, congrats.

How do I get on this mailing list you guys are talking about? I'd like to check out some of things the Giants are selling.
