New collection..need some help.

Hey all. I'm starting a new collection. I want one copy of every Topps Yankees team card ever produced by Topps. I may later change it to a certain standard (i.e. PSA 5 or up), but can't afford the earlier versions at that price. I have a couple of questions.

First, when did team cards start?
and secondly, does anyone have any for trade or sale? Obviously I've already checked eBay, so linking me to there is pointless.

I believe they started in 1957 as I have the Yankee one from that year.But they may have started in 1956.

When you say every team card, do you just mean base or are you doing parallels too. Topps Gold, Topps Black, Desert Storm, Topps Employees Embossed, Minted in Cooperstown, Topps Limited, and other parallels through the years.

your looking strictly for team checklist cards right? I know I have a couple Yankee cards that depict the team celebrating victories in the 2000 Topps Subway series set. these are not team checklist style though.

Just base Topps. Sorry for not clarifying. No parallels, no different Topps sets like you have listed, just Topps. Plain Jane Topps from every year. I think it will be a cool collection.
