Cool displays bro / do you worry about the displays blowing off with the flimsy plastic stands, especially when they hold some high end cards? It defeats the purpose entirely but why not use cheap retro cards for display purposes and keep the high end cards out where they can't be damaged.

Actually they support them very well :) I didn't want to keep my high end stuff stored in a box or in a room where I never get to appreciate them....The way I display them is what got me in the magazine ;) If I done it with cheap retro cards....probably not so much....it would look bland, plain, boring, & there sure wouldn't be any OOOOH's or AAAAAAh's when people see them.....

Those stands are pretty study, it is the side to side if they get bumped that might be the issue. The stands close fairly easy when hit from the side.

This is how I know..

Awesome display and collection.
Just a friendly comment: I think the displays with the card to the side of the McFarlane, like Cobb and Gwynn, look better than with the card in front of the figure.
Some of the cards cover up too much of the figure, and look awkward, like the Ichiro.

Nice addition. I like how the card photo captures Maris at the same point in his swing as your figurine.

Sent from my HTC Rezound using the FCB mobile app.

Thanks James.....I totally agree....I searched long & hard for that specific card to marry up with the figure's actual pose for the same "swing" simularity :) They really bring each other to life....

I agree that the ones where the cards sit to the side of the figures look best. I think they would look nice on planks of wood, with the figure and base mounted to it and the card mounted next to it.

again, its your collection. But just offering an idea.
