I don't think I've seen any card from this set reach triple-digits: Ben Sheets. It's been common for any card to get into the $20s, and top stars to exceed $50, but this is a new high, especially for a guy like Sheets whose hold on a MLB career is tenuous.

Luckily, I've already got one for my set, which I hope to finish before they have a Heritage version of 2001 Heritage.

I got an Ankiel last year for a buck or two and was hoping to resell it for $50+, but my dog got to the bubble mailer before I could. It's a pretty popular set.

One of my favorite sets to look for at card shows. You can't imagine how many I have found in $1.00 boxes.

you would be looking between 200-250 per box. If anyone wants to look into it I would be down for a box
or two.

I could never figure the economics of this set. At /552 how many set collectors does there have to be to get the prices to the current level for this set? I understand that the set collectors compete with the player collectors as well...and that the supply of the product seems to have dried up (or been gobbled up) But for example there seems to be close to 10 sets assembled of 99 bowman chrome international refractors /100, and obviously player collectors chase those as well. But how many set collectors do there have to be to consume all of the /552 on the market? I'd guess it's mostly the set collectors as the player collectors for Ripken haven't purchased one at 79.99 on ebay and Sheets just went over that.
The cards are beauties...I was lucky to find a nice Manny a while ago.

It's a really nice set, and I currently have 84 of the 110 card set. The last 26 cards will definitely cost me (I still need Jeter, Arod, and Griffey) but I think that I can have this set done in the next 4 or 5 years. It will definitely be nice to put this one to bed!

They do look nice together-all those star player portraits. Good luck in the home stretch to finish the set. it looks like Adrian Gonzalez has tripled his weight since 2001...
