I didn't look at the article, but the team is going to be renamed the Miami Marlins when they move into the new stadium in 2012.

It's not going to cost $2.4 billion to build. It is only going to cost $515 million. They are going to have to pay of $409 million in bonds over the next 40 years, which is going to be expensive. This is a pretty stupid move financially. They also have to pay $10 million to demolish the Orange Bowl.

I mean, my god, it takes an hour to get to the stadium from downtown Miami which is like 5-10 miles away.

If you leave your hotel at 5:45, and take a taxi, you're not going to get to the game in time. I've done it twice.
