Also, I sold my Logoman #1/1 BGS 9.5 & my Logoman Auto #2/5 BGS 9.5.
I almost had to. I had invested right at $700 for the pair with grading fees included. I sold the pair for $1500 off ebay. While I hated to see them go, the profit made it a little easier. I basically hedged my bet. With the amount of T-Will stuff I have left, moving those two cards made the amount left in my investment very minimal. So if he doesn't pan out like I think he will or he gets injured, I won't take as big of a hit if I were to hold them.

Anybody else ever have a situation like this? Selling a card that you don't want to but logically you just have to.

You had to make that move. ~$800 profit is too much to turn down.

I have this problem every time the playoffs come around. There are cards that I would like to keep, but I know that these cards will never be worth as much again and that I would not buy those cards at the prices I can sell them for. So I sell. I've sold some cards that I liked, but I don't regret having money to spend other places or to pay bills with.

I also think it's healthy, because you're not letting your cards own you. There are some amazing collections on these boards, but there are also quite a few collections that, while amazing, completely consume the lives of the people who have them. That's not collecting per se- it's more like addiction.
