Hey guys,
I've been out of football collecting since the 90's and don't really know too much about the trends so I wanted to get some feedback. First off, is the football card game like baseball in that the best time to buy is now (i.e. the off season)? Some prices for what seem to be some really nice cards are pretty low.
That leads me to my next question - generally what are the most high-end RC's? In baseball it's relatively straight forward - for the most part, Bowman Chrome is king and generally first to market with a player's Autograph RC. Obviously in football there are a lot more rookie issues and a player's rookie season is more clear-cut giving him more options. With that being said, what are the best issues to start picking up? It seems like Exquisite and SP Authentic are the best (in that order), am I correct? Are there any others I should be looking out for?
Any advice for the high-end football novice is appreciated!
John
