my son and I have enjoyed collecting but the cost is simply too much. We like the Game Used and Autos of Semi and Star players but simply can't afford to buy packs or singles. Our collection is not very big as we have 8 game used and 6 Autos to date. I would like to propose trades to any collectors that can help. I will send you all cards (Refractors/Numbered/Inserts/Rookie Cards/Shortprints/Parallels/Base I have from 1991-2011 and you can send whatever you think is fair as far as Autos (semi & star) and Game Used (no white swatches please). I have lots of Chrome Rookies, Bowman Rookies, Premium Brands, ect. Just send me what you think is fair and I will be greatful!!. Please make sure trades are in your favour as we know that Autos and Game Used command premiums. I would guess that any lot I send will have at least 500-1000 cards in them. Honestly, it's going to be tough to find folks willing to trade star and semi-star autographs in return for miscellaneous inserts that you have. I think if people knew some of the cards that you are willing to trade you might have a bit more success.

Absolutely right. You're going to have to take the time and name specific cards that you have. You won't find many people willing to do blind trades with unestablished members. Good luck to you though

Thanks for the tips, appreciated!! I wish I had the time to list all my cards but I simply don't. Not sure what the risk is to other collectors though as I would send first. This method has worked well on other sites and that is why I kept my User ID the same as I have it on The Bench & Sportscard Fun. I always trade in your favour with these trades as I know Autos & GU are more sought after.

If you and your son were really hard up and are only doing it for the enjoyment of collecting then why do you specifically state NO WHITE SWATCHES on the jersey cards, or that your autographs only be semistars and stars?

That was not very nice to say and quite slanderous, my son is young and likes players he actually knows and can see on TV. As for white swatches, he (and I) think they "don't look as cool". If you wanted to offend, you did a good job.

Actually nothing I wrote was "slanderous." Slander is spoken word...maybe you meant libelous, which my words weren't that either. Yes I did intend to offend you and I'm glad it worked. You join the site solely for the purpose of starting a thread begging for free cards.....but they have to be specific kinds, and no crappy players just superstars. Maybe if you would join in some of the forum discussion people would be more obliged to help you out. As it is, it appears to me and likely everybody else, that you just signed up for this site in order to get some freebies while using the "money is tight" and "young child" angle to tug at your fellow collectors heart-strings. Nobody is going to send you anything, go bother blowout forums or something.

Not really sure what the issue is here, he's willing to send you his cards first and let YOU decide whats a fair return.


If you dont like what he's offering, just move on since it doesnt seem like a great risk for those interested.

suddenly you have 325 autos and GU for trade? 14 cards to 325+ cards in less than a month. looks like your collection is coming along nicely on such a limited budget.

Hi, quite simply we have been very fortunate to find collectors that have helped us!! 2 traders (feel free to ask for their e-mail addresses if you feel you need to check) sent us over 300 GU/Autos for entire lots of teams that we had. They did so to give us things that we felt we could trade for Jays. If you have a team that you collect and want to do the same, that would be great. If you don't, that's respected as well. You're right, there are people that bend over backwards, we have appreciated those people!!
