Looks nice but its too soon. Every 6 months is to quick to be releasing a new series. Have it every January/February and every November/December or something.

I agree that it looks nice and it's too soon. The problem with your suggestion though is while there would be 9-10 months between the January/February and November/December release, there would only be at most 3 months between the second part of the release.

If Topps is going to be successful with the UFC product going into the future they need to completely slow the production down and limit it to once a year. If they insist on putting on two sets a year, then do like January and July. Where there's enough time in between sets to build them up and hopefully capitalize on new UFC champions or new fighters becoming the next big thing.

The biggest problem is Topps knows UFC is super hot right now and wants to cash in on it as much as absolutely possible. This only makes sense because Topps is in it to make money. It's not the same as baseball, football, basketball, etc. where they can have several different types of sets with prospects, HOFs, current players, a mix of them, and blah blah blah. UFC is really just one set, UFC as a whole. So there's really no way for them to have different types of UFC products so as a result we're going to see them pumping out new versions of the UFC line way too often.

I am lucky that I live in a pretty big city (toronto) and a ton of MMA stars come to town every year. Tomorrow Randy will be at his Xtreme Couture gym, monday its Shogun, then in June Liddell will be in town doing seminars and signings. Then we have our MMA expo and this year the celebs are Bibiano Fernandes, Patrick Cote, Shonie Carter, Arlovski, and Babalu.
