So I am excited that this showed up.. I think I got a decent price on both the book and the auto.. The book is a first printing, and the auto is the cherry on top...

Of course I was going to send the book to you so you could cut the auto out and then make a nice item...

I don't think so!!!... I'm not sure how I am going to do it.. probably go in a box, so that it stays in such a nice condition...

I actually had someone send me a signed autobiography to cut the signature out for a custom. Suffice to say I sent it back intact.

Signed books are typically overlooked...but I'm a fan.

Great pick-up Kevin. Might have to look for one for my Teddy collection. I think your price is very reasonable for a PSA Ted auto. Congrats again!!

I am not trying to be debbie downer and the auto looks good to me, but for future reference DO NOT buy an autograph with a psa auction house letter. Not only do PSA no longer make them due to people faking them easily and also making as many copies as they please, they are completely worthless. All they mean is a PSA person looked at a box of autographs and said yep these are autographs in a box. I was a bit taken back when I bought a lot of 60 autos from a well know auction house and psa rejected 59 of them even with the psa auction house letter. They claimed they dont examine every autograph so some slip by. Luckily they didnt charge me but still was disappointing.

Well that's a kick in the junk with your experience.

I always knew those letters were generally weak at best...but in your case it was worthless. And yet I'm sure they had no problem charging the auction house for that silly letter.

Yeah it stinks I didnt know, I figured hey its a LOA that says the one item in the lot why wouldn't they authenticate them all. Well that item passed and the rest where sent back. I dont like how they name one item on the LOA even though its for a lot, it leads to a messy situation. Not to mention they issue one LOA per lot, so if you see an item with a LOA that does not mention that Item directly chances are its a copy of the original.

Thanks, but the auto was a bonus.. The first edition printing of the book is worth it to me.. I have had Ted Williams auto's in the past and still have others, and this one looks good to me..
