the NHL's trade freeze before the Olympic break is Friday at 3pm. the actual trade deadline is on Wednesday March 3 leaving teams only a few days after the Olympic break to make deals.

I thought it would be interesting to hear some answers to these questions...

will there be anymore big moves before the freeze?

would you trade Halak or Price? or keep them both? (they are both RFA's after the season)

does Dallas trade Marty Turco? if so to who?

which Islanders goalie gets traded? or do they continue to go with 3?

what will your team do to improve themselves?

who do you want to see your team trade away?

I can't imagine there will be anything BIG. At this point, not enough time and I don't think there's been many rumors of big name guys moving right now. I think you'll see a frenzy AFTER the Olympics.

You gotta trade Price. Keeping him in Montreal is not good. The fans are turning against him, the team appears to be turning against him. He's gotta go.

does Dallas trade Marty Turco? if so to who?
I don't think so. Dallas isn't too far out of the playoff picture and to have both Turco and Lehtonen in goal for that run would be huge for them. If he IS traded, I'm not sure where he goes...but I can't imagine it's anyone in the West.

which Islanders goalie gets traded? or do they continue to go with 3?
I don't see how you can keep all three. All three would have SOME trade value, so you gotta move one of them. Keeping three big guys like that make no sense. Personally, I think you trade Biron.

what will your team do to improve themselves?
Boston - Hopefully bringin some offense. Defense and Goal are just fine...but they NEED offense.

who do you want to see your team trade away?
Boston - I would have no issues seeing Thomas traded away. Rask is showing he can be the #1 Goalie in Boston, and I think Thomas can bring in some offense.

who do you want to see your team trade for?
Boston - Not sure "who"...but as mentioned above...some big-name offensive guy. A Winger who can play on the Savard line. I like Satan...but I want someone better/younger playing along side Savard.

nothing HUGE but I think there will be some decent sized moves

I agree I don' think any major moves will happen tonight or tomorrow. I think most GM's will take the time off to evaluate where they think their team is headed and decide what to do as soon as the freeze is over.

I also think Price is gone. Halak has been given the majority of the playing time all season and there have been some locker room issues with Price and his teammates. I don't think his teammates or coaches have any faith in Price. if they do trade him they will or better get a very good return on him because I think he is going to be a very solid goalie once he matures a little and has a better defensive system in front of him.

I think they will keep Turco as well. Lehtonen is way too injury prone to have him as the starter and Alex Auld as the backup. they have an outside shot at making the playoffs and if Lehtonen gets hurt there is no way that happens with Auld in goal.

I think Biron will draw the most interest and get the Islanders their best return plus he is a UFA where as Roloson is a RFA.

what will your team do to improve themselves?
get a winger for Malkin or a third line Center so Malkin and Staal can play on the same line. they have great chemistry and one of them always scores when they skate together.

who do you want to see your team trade away?
I would like to see Pascal Dupuis moved for another defenseman.

who do you want to see your team trade for?
I would love for the Pens to trade for Claude Giroux or Jeff Carter. as much as I hate the Flyers those are 2 players I would enjoy watching play here in Pittsburgh

I doubt it. Lots of preliminary talks but nothing ironed out.

If I was Montreal GM I would trade Price. As stated, the coach favors Halak, the performance favors Halak and I think the pressure of Montreal is not good for Price's future. He has market value for sure and could be part of a package for that top player they could use for a playoff run.

I also say no. They'll field some offers but ultimately I give them little to no post season shot if they do.

Biron will get dealt for a late pick or a marginal prospect to someone on the playoff bubble with goaltending issues.

Unfortunately nothing I think. Their cap situation is not good and alot of the players that could be moved have difficult contracts. The ones with decent deals are too valuable to trade.

who do you want to see your team trade away?

Daniel Briere due to his salary for sure but it won't happen. I hate to say it because I like him, but Simon Gagne. He's been fragile, his performance has dwindled even with quality line mates and he commands a decent salary. He will be marketable as a playoff rental for someone and could bring some prospects back to the team.

Flyers have been in need of a top notch goaltender for 20 years. I'd love to see Nabokov or Lundqvist.

Keep them both. They both have lots of potential, the fans just need to quit riding them so hard.

I say Biron is the odd man out, he'll be on the move.

I can honestly say there's nobody on this team I don't like. I've had my ups & downs with Theo but he's been putting on a hell of a show lately. Don't fix what's not broke, eh?

Jack Johnson. I'd be really happy if we picked him up.

Ban Eric Furlatt & Kyle Rehman from ever officiating an NHL game again. They tend to let the crowd decide on how they make their calls.

I honestly doubt it. I think the biggest moves prior to the freeze were made by the Leafs.

If I was trading one of the two, it would be Price. He has been incredibly inconsistent, and if they could get something valuable in return I say do it.

I don't think so. They are only a few points out of the 8th spot in the West.

Biron is the likely choice to get traded.

Hopefully the Blackhawks will find a way to get rid of some salary without tearing apart the team. They look like a legitimate Top 5 team in the league right now. Any move they make is risky at this point, but changes are going to have to be made sooner or later.

Some of the higher paid guys on the team who are not contributing. Sopel, Brian Campbell, and Huet. I don't think Huet will be able to get it done in the playoffs. Gives up way to many easy goals.
