Its called using stickers meant for other products on products that it wont work for. Those stickers were for UD black I think, and they couldnt get new ones in time for this product. Not Mauer's fault.

Bingo, the silver ones should only be put on a black background. This one would be a good one to peel off and have him sign it ip in blue. How easy do these Ud stickers peel off.

This is an easy one to solve...just get a blue sharpie , trace the auto , its not like its hard to trace his simple auto and the silver wont show up ....that should solve it "no" :?

I think hive17 meant it looks like Mauer is asking a question in his auto...the 7 resembles a question mark.

As far as the offer--I appreciate it, but it'll depend on where this card ends up at. It's already at $40, and it just got listed today.

UD is just using what Mauer sent back to them. UD only screwed up because in the contract, it should state he must sign in blue.

Read the whole thread before posting. As has been stated earlier, Upper Deck had players sign in silver for UD Black. This is simply a case of using leftover stickers from other products, much like Upper Deck did with Griffey stickers for so long.
