Nice mailday and a shoutout to Wheeler

There's a big autograph signing coming up at the end of May here in Pittsburgh and a bunch of big name players are going to be there. I told Wheeler that Santonio Holmes is going to be there and he said he wants something signed. So Wheeler sent me a box with a Holmes authentic jersey inside along with a card for myself for helping him out.

Wow Polamalu is doing a public signing. I had heard that wasn't his thing. Has Big Ben done a public signing in the past couple years?

You going to get MVP inscription on Holmes jersey? I love the throwback they have used the past two season and 75th patch on last years jerseys if my favorite Steelers jersey ever. What style is one you are getting signed?

Not sure if any of you follow game used market on Steelers stuff. About the hardest team to find stuff from in any sport. I still have never seen a throwback from past two seasons hit the market. But Holmes had a deal with JO Sports where they got most of his 2006 and 2007 gamers. The only known legit Steelers game used jerseys for sale anywhere. Before the Super Bowl they were around $1,500 and right after were over $5,000 for one. They had around 15 of his jerseys from various games before the Super Bowl game. Then about 10 minutes after Super Bowl and his MVP award they were down to 3 with priced jacked up to $5 K. I guess JO moved prices a few times late in the game. Funny thing is they put one on ebay for a week auction after the superbowl and I believe it sold for right around 2k.

Nope going to have him personalize it or both but if I choose one it will be a peronalization of the #1 Holmes collector. it will be for me to wear to the games. I already have one framed.

Yeah, Polamalu doesn't do many public signings, apart from his signings he does at the local Macy stores, but you have to buy $50 worth of Perry Ellis stuff and then he signs a cheap Perry Ellis football. Personally, I'd rather pay the extra money and get something signed that I want, but they don't let you bring anything in for him to sign.

I haven't seen Ben do a public signing since his rookie year at a car dealership and the line was RIDICULOUS from what I heard. I got his auto on a mini helmet at the Mario Lemieux golf tournament, before he ever even took a snap n the NFL.
