I am hanging onto my gold until it sells for $300+.

::facepalm::

Why slap your face? Franklin is 19 years old, a SS that hits for average and power and has been on fire lately. If he keeps it up, the gold refractor auto will be $300+ at some point in the season.

Franklin is a good prospect but doesn't have that "WOW" stuff that will blow you away. If I had any of his stuff, I would have sold them within the past two weeks.

The last two oranges sold at $290 and $336. That is a ton for a player like Franklin.

Just my opinion, but I think too many people on these boards think this kid is going to be something he wont be.

So, by reading scouting reports, you gather that he isn't that good and playing above his ability?

I beg to differ. There are many prospects that debunk their initial scouting reports and show they can be stars.

Franklin's age, ability, power, and future all look very bright to me.

You have your opinion, I have mine. The point isn't if he is playing above his ability or not, its whether or not his prices have room to gron.

AT $80 a blue and $300-350 for an orange, I don't see it.

I agree with Nick on this one. I think his prices are above both his ability AND potential. I think he will be solid, but think of the players who's gold refs sell for $250. Do you really think he is in that class? Maybe he will be, I could be wrong.

Note, I am NOT invested in him.

+1.

However, this argument is stupid. Who cares what Franklin turns out to be? Smart prospectors will have made their money before their investment makes it to the majors. That's where the money is. Nobody can deny Franklin is tearing it up right now and for investors sake, I hope he continues. However, money is in the minors.
