His stats are pretty damn good compared to everyone else. He does need to work on his strikeouts though...he is only 19 though, October born.

He will not have the success Jeter has had in terms of winning games or statistically. Sorry man.

That said, he can still be good without being a hall of famer. I think people are so conscious of Jeter being "overrated" that he's actually underrated. If a guy ends up with 3,000 hits, he's a superb hitter. The end. Forget other people comparing Leyja to him because it will just be a disappointment when it doesn't materialize.

You can post those stats all you want, doesn't mean he is the next big thing.

Again, I am using the players that YOU POSTED. There are many exceptions to the rule. My point was that Bonus Babies and top picks have a built in fan base, have people who buy their cards off the bat, AND most importantly get MANY MANY more opportunities within the Organization to "make it".
Your guy is young, but I would really hope for more extra base hits this year or he will be going no where fast. I am not really sure where Pujols fits into this conversation.
