Most of the baseball award races don't even seem close...

Pujols
Mauer
Lincecum
Greinke

But what do you guys think about the NL Rookie of the Year award this year?

Did Happ do enough to win it, or did his late season injury and struggle open the door for another player to win it?

Coghlan. He batted .321 and had an obp of over .370

But I do not think greinke has the AL CY Young award wrapped up. My vote would go to Felix

Greinke has to get it. The one that isn't a lock is Lincecum.

The NL Cy Young winner will be Adam Wainwright.

The NL ROY is either Hanson or Happ.

not to change the subject but I also think Felix will be closer to Grienke than most people think

There is good candidates and it could divide the vote. I see McClutchen, Happ, Coghlan and a few others getting votes and being high on the list but i think Hanson will win because he will be a top 2-3 choice for every voter.

Dang. I was hoping for more love for Happ.

If he hadn't been injured in September and pitched well, would more of you choose him over Hanson?

The only award that is a lock right now is NL MVP.

AL Cy Young has 2 candidates.
AL MVP has 2 candidates (although Mauer CLEARLY deserves it. I just know how voters think that doesn't make him a lock.)
NL Cy Young has 3 candidates.

NL and AL ROY each have 5-8 players that you could make statements for.

Coghlan wins, Hanson a close second.

Coghlan's season, in historical context from ESPN:

"Coghlan has cranked out more hits (157) than all but three men in the entire National League since his May 8 debut, has more hits (108) than anyone in the sport since the All-Star break and has the highest average (.332), on-base percentage (.394) and OPS (.861) of any NL leadoff hitter for the season. His 48 hits in September were the most by any rookie in 81 years (Chuck Klein, 1928). His 95 hits in August and September combined are the third-most in back-to-back months by any NL player in the expansion era, behind only Pete Rose and Dave Parker -- and the most by any rookie in 62 years (Dale Long, 1947)."
