After the Series split, the Marlins and Braves 4 back, Cubs are 6 back Giants 1 back, Rox leading.

Let's get it on.

Fish have the NATS for 6 of their next 9, and the Mets for the other 3.

I predict a surge.

Lets get some chat goin for as long as the chase lasts, i know we have fans from all 5 teams here.

Shouldnt the phillies be part of this conversation? I remember two weeks into the season I heard about how they werent built to win the division again and they were the 4th best team?

Sorry, they were closer than i thought. (6 games back)

Feel free to chime in.

Also, move Soriano back to 2b, he's killing you out in Left.

If they sweep the Giants in San Francisco, they have a chance. If they don't, they're out of it, IMO.

And I guess the Rockies are going to have to live with Jose Contreras for two starts...
Also, hopefully the Diamondbacks don't capitalize on Street's absence.

It should be a really good one tonight.
Rockies- Jason Hammel
D-Backs- Dan Haren

The Rockies offense has been poor lately, yet on the other hand, the Diamondbacks have won six of ten and have their ace on the hill. Hopefully Hammel throws a great ball game leading the Rox to victory.

I thought the Cubs folded a few years ago. They still have a team?

And yes, Tim Lincecum looks like a lesbian

ramaining games with .500 teams or lower as of today:

Braves - 19 out of 28 games are against teams lower than .500 (Cardinals 3 times) (Phillies 3 times) (Marlins 3 times.)

Rockies - 19 out of 28 games are against teams lower than .500 (Dodgers 3 times.) (Giants 3 times.) (Cardinals 3 times.)

Giants - 15 out of 28 games are against teams lower than .500 (Dodgers 6 times.) (Rockies 3 times.) (Cubs 4 times.)

Marlins - 16 out of 28 games are against teams lower than .500 (Phillies 6 times.) (Cardinals 3 times.) (Braves 4 times.)

Cubs - 23 out of 30 games are against teams lower than .500 (Cardinals 3 times.) (Giants 4 times.)

Cubs have the most favorable schedule so far... Based on that i think the Cubs will end up winning this but thats just my opinion.. what do you guys think?

Although they have the easiest schedule, they are also six and a half games back. Because of that, the schedule doesn't even really matter.

Im not sure the Cubs will be able to make a push, but I sure hope so being a Cubs fan. There problem right now is there inability to hit, and at times, field as well, the pitching on the other hand has been dominant. They're scary to the point that the teams ahead of them have let them hang around until now, and any one team can get hot at any moment. Personally, I feel the Giants will win the wild card. Their pitching is absolutely nuts. Lincecum and Cain have been great all season, and now Zito has returned to form. It's going to be a very interesting race from here on out. Every win/loss shakes up the standings a little bit. That being said, come on Cubbies, lets sweep the Mets!
