Who would you say is the greatest player to never play in a World Series?

Tougher question: who is the best to never play in the post season?

Postseason is a tough one you'd have to give me a lot of time to think on that, but World Series I would say Ernie Banks & Ken Griffey Jr. I think both are pretty surprising, Griffey may be even moreso.

Yeah I'd say Griffey in my time , Banks prob from the older era.

Nolan Ryan only had that 69' appearance in all his 27 years , pretty amazing. Can't think of a great pitcher who didn't have at least one shot.

For best to never play in the playoffs, I think you need to look at older players like Banks, Rick Ferrell, Ron Santo, George Sisler.

Banks was the default answer, but Griffey I think moved past him.

I was sad that Frank Thomas didn't get to step onto the field in the 2005 WS. Fifteen years of waiting for the guy to reach the pinnacle and then boom, out.
