Stats, as a rule, are less valid in smaller numbers. So that argument would lack any real depth. One could argue that Hal McRae is comparable to Hank Aaron, that doesn't mean it would have any truth to it.

Whats a small number about 14 years in the Major Leagues?

Ok, I'll explain this slowly.

If two people have a .300 batting average, which one is more impressive?

Player A: 300 hits in 1000 at bats.
Player B: 600 hits in 2000 at bats.

So no, it is not more significant that Nomar achieved statistical similarity to Jeter with three thousand fewer at bats.

Im really surprised by the amount of people who are saying that comparing him to jeter is laughable, when their stats are nearly identical

Superficially, their stats are close, in reality they are not -

Win Shares - Jeter 354/Nomar 225 (that is a huge difference)
