Nice card, but I'm not sure he hasn't hit his peak. His jump shot won't get a whole lot better, and his supporting cast is getting older (and worse). If the Big 3 all come back at 100%, he should have a great year. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

How much do you watch Rondo? I agree he probably won't get a great jump shot ever, but I don't understand the questions because he is playing with three great players. His defense isn't dependent on them. His points usually come off the fast break where he uses his speed to beat people or him getting to the rim, which isn't dependent on the big three. His rebounding is in spite of having perk, kg, pierce, and allen. And his assist numbers might fall off slightly, but his assists come from making people collapse on him when he drives and kicking it out to an open guy. Anyone that can hit open jumpers will do the trick, and it doesn't need to be three hall of famers.

I listed it and am going to buy a cheaper one, i got the rondo at a great price(IMO) so should make enough money to get the rondo ultimate for free while still making a few bucks.

First of all, defense doesn't drive hobby value. I agree rebounding numbers will stay the same. But let's be honest here, there's no way he's the player he is without those guys. When a bigger team keys on him (which they will start to do if the supporting cast isn't as good), he doesn't have the all around game to remain so productive (IMO at least).

Oh, if we are only talking hobby value I don't ever see him being great. As far as talent goes, I guess we are talking about different levels. I still think he's a great player without the big three. Of course if defenses focus on him more then his numbers go down. There are only a handful of players in the league that can maintain when they are the only person on a team that needs to be stopped. He'll never be one of those guys. His best play this season was at the end of the season without KG. Look at his playoff run where Pierce and Allen both seemed to have off nights frequently. Rondo was the reason the celtics won against the bulls.

To me the talent around a point guard issue is b.s. because any great point guard is going to have help. What does stockton do without malone?
