Yea that's kinda typical at the SF Tristar show. Well at least for the past 4 years.

decided to pass this year. it's fight night and I need to prep the fish n chips.....plus, already have multiples of Posey, MadBum, etc. and Mays is overpriced considering how poor his auto is now.

Last few years I've been disappointed by wax prices there and singles are eh.

I went today. Lots of vintage, and hi-end HOF stuff, which was good for me since I'm not much of a prospector. I picked up a few things, but nothing too crazy. There are things I would've gone after, except they were priced unrealistically high.

Worth the $10 just to look at some of the increbible pre-war vintage and some people's high-end cut autos and the like.

Must have missed you! We were in the corner of the center aisle (lisu, rainmanesq and myself) for most of the day.

I am back. My case of 07 bowman draft sucked, but my case of 08 bowman draft rocked. I'll post the complete break when I get my cards back from BGS. I got the following balls auto'd:

Carney Lansford
Matt Cain
Madison Bumgarner
Buster Posey

I got Conor Gillapsie and Tim Alderson on my team ball.

Nice haul of autos. I wish I could make it up but I'm swamped and fighting the flu.

I hope not... I called my doctor and told him I have a 101.4 degree temp, my body aches, I'm dizzy and nauseous and he told me not to come in and I just have a regular flu since I hadn't been in Mexico. Now I'm wondering if all this kids getting it and forcing their schools to close had been to Mexico.........

Best of luck to you, I hope everything goes okay :(

I'll be back up in the Bay Area during the summer; are there any nice shows going on then?

How's the tristar show for vintage? I'd have to drive 2 hours to get there. Is it worth it?

Really? I was kind of out of it. I had my 9 month old son strapped to my back and he was alternating between sleeping and bouncing around.

I'd say so. I didn't go this year, but the SF Tristar show usually has mostly Vintage.

Yes, definitely worth it for vintage.

And for anyone looking for 2008 exquisite football cases, don't bother - it's all gone
