Anyone besides me follow the league? If so let's chat. Interested in meeting a few different fans. I met a couple alumni at a Gophers game:

Kyle Knudson (I believe he played for Brainerd, maybe not, drafted in the 9th round by Twins)
Justin Gominsky (Lunkers, going to be a Junior for the Gophers)

I really got into the league when I found out about the Stingers. I know that 2 of their players, Carter Bell (not playing with them anymore I don't think) and Cedric Pomerlee were both drafted in earlier years.

Have a friend that played Legion ball against Jordan Smith. Man can that kid play! NSIC player of the year. I haven't talked to any of the current players on the team. I was at 3 games this year. L-L-W. We played St. Cloud on the first franchise game and Paul Molitor was there to throw out the first pitch and sign for everyone. Tony Oliva was there last week but I missed him, and Aaron Barber (and Dora the Explorer) were there for last night's double-header against Thunder Bay.

I think Willmar only got into their team when they found out that Smith, a Willmar native, signed with them. He always gets a nice applause. I would watch for him in upcomming drafts.

I am a Wisconsin Woodchucks fan! I wouldn't say I follow the league or team but I do go to several games a year. We just mainly go and have a beer or two and watch a game.

haha! I heard about the league about 2 years ago when I got a MoonDogs pocket schedule and it said that Granderson had played on Mankato a while back. Never went to any games but then the Stingers came in around Dec 2 of last year and I was pumped!

I follow them and I am a big grapher so I try to go to their IP nights and I also want some graphs of the players.

Their brats are to die for!

I live an hour away from the Stingers and have called myself the #1 fan! (Which isn't true because I don't know half the roster... I learn it only by going to games)

I'm two hours north of Duluth, so I never see anything.

I get to about 3 or 4 Riverbats game a year, I don't by any means follow the league closely, but it's good baseball and St. Cloud is close to home when I am in the area.

I have Thomas Diamond's autographed game used St. Cloud River Bats hat from 2003.
He played in the Northwoods League when he was in college at New Orleans.
He was a #1 draft pick of the Rangers in 2004 and was a big prospect for a few years until he underwent Tommy John Surgery.
Now he's playing for the Cubs' AAA Iowa team and is having an excellent season: 5-2, 2.66 era, 80 Ks in 81 innings.

Right here in Eau Claire the Express play in the stadium where Henry Aaron made his professional debut at the age of 18, playing for the Eau Claire Bears, minor league team for the Braves. (Carson Park) There'a a nice statue of him out front. Express games are a lot of fun.
They do a lot of goofy games between innings, and have giveaways. Cheap tickets, beautiful ballpark, good fun. Jordan Zimmerman of the Nationals played for the Express a few years back.

Just throwing a few names out there:
Curtis Granderson
Andre Eithier
Pat Neshek

On the website they have a whole list of everyone that turned pro from IND to MLB and everywhere in between.

I know at Stinger games they sell GU bats for around $10 bucks. A kid sitting next to me bought one (I thought a player gave it too her) I doubt they tell you who used it. I want to get one directly from the player. I see a lot of potential in our team.

I hope to make it to a Moondogs game, because Jordan Steranka is playing for them, and I want to make it to the games where the Gophers are playing on the team (there are like 3 in the league). I hope to make it up to Brainerd this year for a game or two (5 hour drive JUST for a game? No we have a LOT of family in the area, and will probably do some work up there...)

Rochester Honkers fan. Try to go to about a dozen or more games a year.

I am a fan of the entire league and don't hate a team but the Honkers are 2.5 games up so yeah...

Let's see, I have been to 3 Stinger games this year, I am going to AWA night with Sgt. Slaughter, and I will try to make a couple more before the end of the year
