Just checked the blowout site.
Ultimate Collection prices keep going up, and Sterling prices keep dropping....

I wonder if the two will ever meet?

I also think that people aren't too keen on the theme boxes instead of the player box.

From the videos I've seen, there have been far less exciting pulls in Sterling than Ultimate, so why pay more?

I only follow the Pirate guys, but I have seen far fewer parallels listed than at this stage in previous years. I've been looking to add a nice Robbie Grossman to my collection, and have only seen one or two regular ref's pop up at decent prices, let alone any of the rarer parallels.

I don't know. There are a ton of Sterling singles on eBay.
Do your normal search for Sterling, and add into the search text: -base -/249 then see how many real results there are.

Topps does NOT do high end well. They never have.

Overpriced, undewhelmed.

I do like the theme packs, though, as there is still an element of surprise compared to being disappointed when you see Justin Morneau or Tom Seaver or Bob Gibson.

Ive never found this issue a compelling break. I'm glad they toned down the amount of cards for Eddie Murray this year.

I love Topps Sterling personally and was excited when i saw Utley would be in this years.

That said I've been scooping up whats popped up now as I feel once this wave settles, this stuff won't really be opened.
