Selling out everything I have. Wife lost her job a long time ago, job search has been ruthless, and unemployment has run out. I also just got a pay reduction, which is better than losing my job. Bills have been and are stacking up, so the only thing to do is sell what I have left.
Say a prayer, do a dance, whatever you do. Much appreciated.

And without literally spamming my own auctions, I have tons of autos, patches, chrome, sterling, and way way more. If you would like my eBay id pm me and I will send it to you. I am listing everything in my hands right now and will continue to do so until it's all gone. Probably 30-50 listings per week.

I wonder how many other people this is going to happen to?I am worried that pretty soon even what you perceive to be valuable baseball cards won't even be that valuable or have many people purchasing them.If the economy gets too bad...none of this stuff will even sell.

Good luck.Sorry to hear about your loss.

Well the economic status of many many americans has changed so has the ending price of many eBay items. Just 2 years ago all the items I have were worth 3-4 times what they are now. Although baseball cards are a number of things to a number of different kinds of people.
Example:
Investment
Enjoyment / collectible
Gamble
etc.

I honestly have looked at in and dealt with it from all 3 perspectives. This hobby is for people with disposable income, This business is for people with capitol, this gamble is for anyone with the itch even if they are broke. I have experienced all 3 circumstances.

In my case, we are at a point where we can only afford the most needed things
Rent, Car, Insurance, Food, Gas. I have unpaid bills that are going to cause me problems, bankruptcy sounds like a good option even though we are only $15K in the hole. But hey everyone's doing it ;) at least we are not losing are home...yet we aren't starving...yet I can still drive to work...for now.
I really took a long hard look, and a few boxes of cardboard sitting around aren't doing me any favors. They are worth money right now and I really need the dough. I still enjoy baseball cards but for now I am just like a kid looking in the shop window at a toy I like.

I understand.Hopefully you and the economy can rebound.I just don't like the looks of things for the immediate future. You had a lot of people on the news and in newspapers saying that the economy would rebound rather quickly and some suggest it already has.One way or another...its still not rebounding in the job market. Its tougher now to find a decent paying job even with experience than it ever has before. So you'd better hope to hell you have some sort of experience. If not...its going to be mega hard.
